Duplicate Reports
A duplicate report describes a vulnerability that an earlier report in your portal already describes. Mark it as a duplicate to keep one record, one fix and one advisory for the issue.
Mark a report as a duplicate
- Open the later report.
- In the Duplicates section, select the original report.
- Enter a reason of at least 10 characters.
- Click Mark as duplicate.
The report closes with the status Dismissed and links to the original. The original shows the report under Linked duplicates. The researcher sees the status Closed on the status page.
You cannot link a report to a report that is itself a duplicate. Link it to the earliest report instead. You cannot mark an actively exploited report as a duplicate of a report that is not marked actively exploited. Record the Article 14 decision on the original report first.
Remove a duplicate link
Open the duplicate, enter a reason, and click Remove duplicate link. The report reopens with the status Acknowledged, or New if nobody acknowledged it.
Duplicate suggestions
On the Reporting plan and above, the Duplicates section lists up to three open reports that use similar words for the same product. A suggestion does not change anything. You decide and mark the duplicate yourself.
Marking duplicates is available on every plan. Only the ADMIN role can mark or remove a duplicate link.
